Terms

The short version

The app is free and provided as it is. It's a notebook for your training — it isn't a doctor, a coach or a safety device. Keep your own backups. If you pay for the trainer dashboard, you can cancel any time and take your data with you.

1. Who this is between

These terms cover the Hipertrofi iPhone app and the trainer dashboard on this website. Using either means you accept them. If you don't, don't use them.

2. This is not medical advice

Hipertrofi is a logbook. It records numbers you type in. It does not know anything about your health, and nothing it shows you is medical, diagnostic or professional advice.

In particular, the app does not assess whether an exercise, a weight, a diet or a training frequency is safe or appropriate for you. Estimated one-rep maxes, progression suggestions, volume figures and nutrition totals are arithmetic performed on the numbers you entered. They are not recommendations, and treating them as instructions to lift a certain weight is your decision alone.

Speak to a doctor before you start, and stop if something is wrong. Talk to a qualified medical professional before beginning or substantially changing any exercise or nutrition programme — and especially if you have or suspect a heart condition, high blood pressure, diabetes, an eating disorder, a joint or back problem, are recovering from injury or surgery, are pregnant or postpartum, or are taking medication that exercise or diet could affect.

If you feel chest pain, dizziness, faintness or unusual shortness of breath while training, stop and seek medical help. Do not use this app to diagnose, treat or manage any medical condition, and never delay getting medical advice because of something you read in it.

You train at your own risk. You are responsible for your own technique, your own loading, and knowing your own limits. Hipertrofi accepts no liability for injury, illness or loss arising from training, diet or supplement decisions you make while using it.

4. The trainer dashboard

The dashboard is a paid subscription for coaches. A free tier is available for a small number of clients.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Hipertrofi to break the law, upload other people's data without their consent, attempt to breach or overload the service, or resell access to it. We can suspend accounts that do.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Hipertrofi is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or loss of profit arising from use of the app or the dashboard. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months — which, for app users, is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where the law does not allow that to be excluded.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and if something significant is different we'll say so on the site. Continuing to use Hipertrofi after a change means you accept it.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the law of the country you live in.

9. Contact

Anything unclear: use the support link on Hipertrofi’s App Store page.

These terms are written in plain language to be genuinely readable. They are not legal advice, and a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction should review them before you rely on them commercially.
